Idealist.org is one the greatest databases of people working in social impact in the world, and they’re all right at your fingertips, ready to answer your questions, partner with you on a project, or help with an idea you’ve been developing. Here’s a sampling of some of the people who want to meet you!
Natalie is an experienced grassroots lobbyist at the local, California state and federal levels. She also works as the coordinator of a cross-cultural center at a local community college and has worked as a social justice educator and activist. She’s looking to partner with people working on social justice projects, so shoot her a message to get in touch!
Akhil is currently finishing his MBA in Toronto. He’s interested in entrepreneurial sustainability solutions, and he’d love an opportunity to volunteer in social impact and environmental issues in the Toronto area. He’s also got some great data skills and he speaks four languages, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you could use his help!
Lindsay just graduated from Rutgers with a degree in French literature, and she’s looking to put her language skills to use for a nonprofit in need. She’s interested in women’s issues and healthcare, and she loves museums and new restaurants. She’d like to meet people in the New York City area, so let her know if you’re in the area and want to get in touch.
Fatima grew up on a farm in Ohio and studied Natural Resource Management in college. She then served in AmeriCorps in Washington state, and she loves hiking, mountain biking, and camping out west. She’s looking to talk to people who’ve worked in the nonprofit sector and can share their experiences with her. If you’ve got some experience working in conservation, education, or human rights, she’d love to hear from you.
Adriana is a communications intern here at Idealist.org! She’s from Colombia and works on our Spanish blog, supports our Spanish-speaking users, and manages our Spanish social media. She’d love to talk to anyone in the Latin American community who’s working on an interesting project, has a great idea, or needs help with anything. She’s also always interested in meeting anyone in NYC who’s interested in trying out new food or checking out new places.
